Yes—so the Mat Goggin (a relatively-famous Tasmanian golf-man) Charity Junior Golf Day held at Royal Hobart GC. It was an “Ambrose” event meaning of the four people who were playing in our team we would take the best shot of the foursome. This proved quite hard after being plied with wine, whiskey, beer and oysters, and then some more whiskey, and oysters, eventually rolling into the 18th, 19th and 20th holes pissed as so many disabled parrots. Still, played pretty good golf, and enjoyed the day immensely, given lots of free stuff then got on the piss at the post-round do where Mat Goggin spoke and they gave everyone a golf bag, even the journo who’d just free-loaded his way in like a magic sponge. Truly it’s a rich tapestry. A very rich tapestry. |
